This vessel was built in 1969 as a 44 footer. The first owner used it for several years and wanted more room. In 1971, it was taken back to Tucker and extended 10 feet (to its' current 54 foot length) which added an additional bedroom and bathroom.

It had CAT 3160 engines which were replaced with CAT 3208 marine engines and a new generator.

    Hello Lynn,

Great work with this site !

In addition to boats, Tucker Marine was also involved in bus conversions.

I am the proud owner of an '84, 30' Orion bus, converted from a factory new shell in 1984. (hi Dennis T.)

I have owned for about 12 years. It came with a complete set of construction drawings/prints. I would assume in Mr. Tucker's hand.

Also, I have an Orion factory brochure which shows examples of 'special use' vehicles. Under the heading of 'Luxury Motorcoach' is shown the interior of what I'm certain is a 'Tucker'.

While I realize this post is not marine related, it is interesting to look at the Tucker boats and see similar interior details.
